Fitatu

Fitatu is a leading calorie tracking app available on mobile devices and through web browsers. It stands out with the largest database of products and dishes in Poland. I was part of the team that built Fitatu from scratch in 2016. Over time, the app gained popularity and is now used in 7 countries.

Starting as a senior developer, I was promoted to the tech lead position. I specialized in backend development, where I was responsible for API and CRM system development, as well as building and processing the food database. In the early phase of the project, I participated in creating the first mobile version using Phonegap (JavaScript). Later, I also supported the team building a new version of Fitatu in Flutter (Dart).

However, backend remained my main area of focus. My responsibilities also included managing recruitment processes for the backend team and planning new feature implementations.
